Quantum Fiber Plans and Prices

Quantum Fiber's homepage shows three speed tiers to new customers, with two more sold in select markets. Prices below are after the new-customer discount and the $5/mo discount for AutoPay from a bank account. Paperless billing is required on every plan.

  • 1 Gig: a $25/mo new-customer discount off the $80 monthly charge, plus $5/mo off for AutoPay from a bank account.
  • 2 Gig: a $25/mo new-customer discount off $100, plus the $5 bank AutoPay discount, in select markets.
  • 3 Gig: a $30/mo new-customer discount off $105, plus the $5 bank AutoPay discount, in select markets.
  • If you switch from a bank account to another payment method, or Quantum Fiber makes you change after two failed bank draws in 12 months, the then-current standard rate applies.
  • The terms don't give an end date for the new-customer discount. They say the offers are subject to change and can be modified or discontinued at any time.

Quantum Fiber's upgrade page also lists 8 Gbps as a speed some addresses can get. It doesn't publish a price for that tier.

Simply Fiber: 200 Mbps for qualifying households

Quantum Fiber sells a Simply Fiber plan with speeds up to 200 Mbps for $30/mo, plus taxes and fees, to households where someone takes part in programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, the National School Lunch Program, a Federal Pell Grant, Federal Public Housing Assistance, TANF or LIHEAP. Eligibility is checked through SheerID on quantumfiber.com. It includes 360 WiFi with a pod and technician installation, and availability is limited.

Quantum Fiber Fees and Equipment

  • Wi-Fi: 360 WiFi is included at no added cost. The technician decides how many pods you get. Quantum Fiber says the security features won't work if pods aren't plugged in or devices are plugged straight into the modem.
  • Installation: technician installation at your address is included.
  • Construction: some new installs carry construction charges. Quantum Fiber covers the first $1,500; the Simply Fiber terms say the customer's share is usually no more than another $2,000. You're contacted to approve any charge before work starts.
  • Data: unlimited on every plan.
  • Contract: none. Service is prepaid month to month and renews until you cancel, with no early termination fee.
  • Billing: paperless billing is required. Taxes and fees vary by location.
  • Speeds: advertised speeds are over a wired connection, and Quantum Fiber says they aren't guaranteed. In limited cases it may use a non-fiber connection for the last stretch (usually from the curb) to reach the advertised speed.

Quantum Fiber advertises plans from 500 Mbps up to 3 Gig, with 8 Gbps listed for some addresses. Upload matches download on every tier except 2 Gig (checked Nov 7, 2026).

Is Quantum Fiber's $50 price permanent?

Quantum Fiber doesn't say. The $50 1 Gig price is the $80 standard rate minus a $25 new-customer discount and a $5 bank AutoPay discount. The offer terms list no end date and say the offer is subject to change.

Does Quantum Fiber have unlimited data?

Yes. Quantum Fiber says every plan comes with unlimited data.

Do I need my own router?

No. 360 WiFi is included with the service, and Quantum Fiber's support pages also cover bringing your own Wi-Fi if you'd rather use your own gear.
