Common Things You Can Do Yourself
The gFiber Help Center has guides for finding your Wi-Fi password, running a speed test, troubleshooting Wi-Fi, setting up service yourself and managing your services and equipment. Setting up in the gFiber app is an option on every plan; professional installation is free if you'd rather have a technician.
Understanding Your gFiber Bill
Your bill shows the plan price, any add-ons such as gFiber Phone ($20/mo) or battery backup ($10/mo on Home 3 Gig), taxes and, in some cities, a local access fee. That fee is charged by the local government for using roads and utility poles, and gFiber passes it straight through; the amount depends on where you live. gFiber doesn't charge equipment rental or data overage fees.
Outages and the Uptime Guarantee
If your service is down, start with the Help Center's troubleshooting guide, then contact gFiber by chat or phone. Edge 8 Gig customers are covered by gFiber's uptime guarantee: if monthly uptime drops below 99.9%, gFiber credits 25% of that month's internet charge automatically on a later bill. Scheduled maintenance, problems with your own equipment and events outside gFiber's control don't count. Home 3 Gig customers can add a battery backup that keeps the main connection running for up to 2 hours in a power outage.
Cancelling gFiber
gFiber has no contract and no early termination fee, so you can cancel at any time. Return gFiber's equipment within 60 days of cancelling; otherwise gFiber charges a replacement fee, plus any applicable taxes.
