The year-two jump on 500, 1 GIG and 5 GIG is AT&T's new-customer discount ($5, $10 or $15 a month) running out after 12 months. Fiber 300 doesn't carry that discount, so its price holds. Source: offer details on att.com/internet/fiber, checked Oct 17, 2026.
AT&T Fiber sends data as light through a glass fiber line that runs all the way into your home. Internet Air uses AT&T's 5G wireless network and a hub you set up yourself. The AT&T hub page has a shorter overview.

Every price on this page already subtracts AT&T's $10/mo AutoPay and paperless bill discount. You get the full $10 when AutoPay draws from a bank account or the AT&T Points Plus card from Citi. Pay by debit card and the discount drops to $5. Any other credit card gets no discount. It starts within 2 bills and stays as long as the account has a valid email address.

Download speed is what comes to you: shows, games, web pages. Upload is what you send, like a video call, a cloud backup or a big file for work. On AT&T Fiber the two match, so a 500 Mbps plan uploads at 500 Mbps too. AT&T points out that many cable plans give far more capacity to downloads than to uploads.
AT&T rates its speeds over a wired connection to the gateway, and real-world speeds vary. On 5 GIG, one wired device tops out at 4.7 Gbps. Over Wi-Fi, expect less than the wired figure.

Source: AT&T Internet Fee Schedule (Consumer), effective Jan 30, 2025, and the offer details on att.com/internet/fiber, both checked Oct 17, 2026. The offer details and the fee schedule list different installation amounts, so ask for the exact figure when you order.
Every current fiber plan comes with AT&T's Wi-Fi gateway, a modem and router in one box, with no monthly charge. AT&T's fee schedule says plans on sale now carry no equipment fee, though some older plans charged $2 to $10 a month.
All-Fi Pro is an optional $25/mo upgrade. It adds Wi-Fi 7 equipment, an equipment upgrade program, ActiveArmor advanced internet security and AT&T's Extended Wi-Fi Coverage service. Mesh Wi-Fi extenders are offered too, and AT&T shows their price at checkout.
AT&T's city pages say professional installation is available as soon as tomorrow. Internet Air setup costs nothing. You plug in the All-Fi Hub yourself and it connects in minutes. If you choose self-install and then need a technician, the fee schedule lists a $99 charge.
Internet Air is one plan at $55 a month, and it needs AutoPay and paperless billing. It runs over AT&T's 5G wireless network, with no data cap, no annual contract and no overage fees. AT&T lists typical downloads of 90 to 300 Mbps. About 75% of the customers AT&T tested got speeds in that range or higher, and 25% got less.
If your usage adds to congestion, AT&T will "greatly reduce your speed" for at least 30 minutes, and it may slow speeds whenever the network is busy. 5G coverage isn't available everywhere.
With AT&T Fiber and an eligible AT&T unlimited wireless plan, Internet Backup is included. If the fiber line goes down, your home connection switches to cellular data and switches back once fiber returns. It needs activation and a power source, and it isn't offered in every location.
Under the AT&T Guarantee, a Fiber or Internet Air outage of 20 minutes or more earns a full day of bill credit. Restrictions and exclusions apply (att.com/why-att/guarantee).
Access from AT&T is a low-cost plan for households with income below 200% of the federal poverty guideline, or with someone in a qualifying assistance program. AT&T shows the price and speed only after an address check, so check availability. AT&T's city pages say the gateway and installation come at no charge on Access.
