How We Verify Pricing
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Every price on this site is tied to a source and a date, and any plan that does not have both is shown without a price. This page explains where our plan information comes from, how it is checked, and what we deliberately do not do.
Where plan information comes from
- The provider's own published pages. Each plan record points at the provider page it was read from, together with that page's title and the date it was read.
- Master distributor offer sheets. The offers we are authorized to sell, received through our master distributor agreements.
Where a provider publishes a tier's price directly, we use that figure. Only where a provider gates a tier behind an address check do we fall back to established comparison sources (see “Two kinds of price” below), and we note those prices as such. We do not treat forums, social media or user comments as evidence of a provider's pricing, availability or terms.
Two kinds of price, clearly marked
Most prices on this site are read directly from the provider's own published pages, and carry the date they were read. Some providers, however, only publish certain tiers after an address check. For those tiers we show the rate compiled from established comparison sources (such as Allconnect and HighSpeedInternet), cross-checked across more than one where possible. These are shown with their source and month next to the price, so you can always tell which prices came from the provider directly and which were compiled from published comparisons. Neither kind is a quote — the exact price for your address is confirmed on the call and by the provider at enrollment.
The same rule governs the “last verified” line. A page shows that date only where the pricing on it has actually been checked; otherwise it says plainly that the provider has not been verified yet.
What we show alongside a price
- The conditions attached to it, such as autopay, paperless billing or a stored bank account.
- The promotional period, and the rate afterwards where the provider publishes one.
- Whether taxes, fees, equipment or installation sit outside the quoted figure.
Speeds are shown with the provider's own wording. An advertised “up to” figure is a maximum under optimal conditions, not a guaranteed or typical rate, and upload speed is recorded separately from download rather than inferred from it.
Availability
When you enter a ZIP code on this site, we show which of the providers we represent report coverage in that ZIP area, using data derived from the FCC’s National Broadband Map. This is a ZIP-area result, not an address-level guarantee: coverage can differ from one street to the next within the same ZIP, so the exact address is always confirmed on the call, and by the provider, before any order. Where that lookup is unavailable the ZIP field directs you to call, and we check each participating provider’s own serviceability system while you are on the line. Illustrative panels elsewhere on the site are labelled as examples, not live results.
How offers are ordered
The order in which providers and plans appear is not a ranking and not a recommendation. We compare factual attributes — speed, price, conditions, equipment, contract terms — and leave the judgement about which of them matters to you. See our advertising disclosure for how we are compensated.
Review schedule and limitations
- Plan records are re-checked when a provider or master distributor announces an offer change, and on a periodic review of the providers we represent.
- Providers change promotions frequently, and prices vary by service address. Anything on this site may fall out of date between reviews, which is why each figure carries its own date.
- We have no first-hand testing data. We do not publish speed tests, customer-satisfaction findings or service-quality claims of our own, and nothing here should be read as our having used the services we sell.
Questions
If a price on this site looks out of date, email info@reliableinternetinc.com and we will re-verify it against the provider's current published offer.
